What is a simple syrup?
A simple syrup is made using equal parts water and sugar that are boiled together. You can easily flavor simple syrups by infusing them with flavor. In this case, we are infusing the simple syrup with basil! But you could easily swap the basil for any other herb or fruit zest. Think of the possibilities! Swap the basil for mint and make a mint simple syrup for mint juleps! I love these bottles to make and store my simple syrup to have on hand.HI THERE! How can you use this recipe?
This basil syrup is the perfect pairing for cocktails, lemonades (like my favorite strawberry basil lemonade!), sparkling water (HELLO, basil soda!), and sodas (I love pairing it with a citrus soda!). I even love drizzling a little bit of it on my fresh fruit or sorbets! Enjoy! Alyssa Don't forget to pin this recipe so you can find it later!
