Our friend Tonia @toniastea has a special gift. She knows how to delight people -- she loves to host tea parties! She's hosted a myriad of afternoon teas for birthdays, bridal showers, and other special events. There have been themes like "Paris," "Dolly and Me" for young girls, a "Jane Austen Tea" with guests in period dress, or an "Angel" tea. We had a wonderful New Year's afternoon tea at Tonia's home (above.)
Tonia says, "I dream of having my own tea house someday. A place to store and display my collection of beautiful dishes, to host parties and teas, and for photo ops. But for now, I'm happy doing what I can, when I can, and I'm grateful for anyone interested in hosting something as lovely as afternoon tea."
Tonia says the things she loves about afternoon tea are "making and serving beautiful food on a beautifully dressed table."

"with a variety of yummy sandwiches, fresh scones and clotted cream, and delicious sweets."
"And vintage fine bone china, and pots of lemonade," she concludes. "All of which make me so happy."

I just can't stop showing you this lovely array of savory bites and sweets! Top left is a delicious coconut -lime scone! Top right is a scone with blackberry cream, and bottom are chocolate mousse cups with raspberries. Yum!
Honestly, it's all about the details. Tonia even designed and painted her own logo. Every little thing is special -- she doesn't miss anything! To attend one of her parties is delightful!
