Watermelon Salts! Whaaaat?! We know that salt enhances the flavor of food. Sweet and salty is a winning combination. How about a sprinkle of salt on your watermelon? When I was young, I watched my grandparents Nello and Gladys Greer in St. Johns, Arizona, salt their watermelon. A little dusting and that flavor really came out! Since then, I’ve been an avid fan of salting my watermelon! I remember driving with my grandparents all over the White Mountains in north eastern Arizona searching market after market for the perfect watermelon. We brought it home and ate it with supper every night for a week. With salt, of course!
